"With spaces" counts every character including the space bar presses. "Without spaces" counts only letters, numbers, and punctuation — useful when you need to know how much actual content you have, excluding whitespace.

Yes. Emojis, Devanagari characters, accented letters, and other Unicode characters all count. Some complex emojis (like flag sequences or emojis with skin tone modifiers) may register as more than one character depending on their Unicode encoding.

Twitter (now X) allows 280 characters per tweet. URLs are automatically shortened to 23 characters regardless of their actual length, and media attachments don't count toward the limit.

Aim for 150–160 characters. Google typically shows up to around 160 characters in search results, though it sometimes cuts off earlier depending on the search context. Keep the most important information near the beginning.
